Summary:
Rabab is a sweet, innocent girl who falls victim to Zarab’s wrath. Due to a misunderstanding or past resentment, Zarab believes that Rabab is responsible for a betrayal that has deeply hurt him. Instead of seeking the truth, he chooses the path of revenge.
Rabab is forced into a relationship with Zarab where she has to endure his harshness, cruelty, and dominance. Her soft nature clashes with Zarab’s tough personality, yet she remains strong, silently enduring the pain.
Over time, Zarab begins to see Rabab’s innocence and loyalty. The walls of hatred she had built around her heart began to crumble. Her so-called “Zulmana Ishq” (cruel love) slowly turns into true love, but by then, Rabab has suffered so much that forgiveness is not easy for her.
Themes of the Novel:
- Revenge vs. Love: How revenge can destroy relationships until love softens the heart.
- Cruelty & Patience: The clash of harshness and endurance in a forced relationship.
- Transformation: Even the cruelest person can change with the power of true love.
- Forgiveness: Healing comes only when one chooses to forgive the past.
Ending:
Towards the end, Zarab realizes Rubab’s innocence and the depth of her silent love. Guilt transforms him, making him desperate for her forgiveness. Though Rubab is broken, her heart eventually melts, and love triumphs over cruelty. Their relationship, once built on revenge, finally settles into true companionship and respect.
